This ancient water town is packed with history, but more importantly, lots of amazing snacks. And now, we are going straight to the source.
Can you smell that? The smell of legendary Tangyuan!
In most parts of China, sweet fillings like black sesame rule. But here in Jiangnan, we do things a little bit different. Meet the savory Tangyuan.
Now finally for some refreshing and some sweet taste. Let's try some Osmanthus Cake.
As you can see, the taste is very soft and a little bit sweet. So elegant and so delicious!
The most popular specialty is the o smanthus filling and this one. Elderly people like black bean paste.
This is all traditional. And currently, we've also added up fillings like sweet potato, chestnuts and other different fillings.
The main material is a kind of fragrant rice from Jiangsu. Soak in water for 6 to 8 hours, then use the water to grind the powder finely. And let it ferment naturally for half an hour and then steam it out.
There you have it: two totally different, but the same delicious food right here in Qibao Ancient Town.
But guess what——it's just a tiny taste of Minhang.

你聞到了嗎?大名鼎鼎的湯圓的香氣,我們快來試吃一下。在中國大部分地區(qū),像黑芝麻這樣的甜餡湯圓是主流。
但在江南這里,口味有些不同,來認識一下咸湯圓,面皮非常柔軟,也非常有嚼勁,就像在吃一個特別美味的肉丸子,被包裹在柔軟的外皮中,非常好吃。
接下來我們?nèi)L點既清爽又帶些甜味的東西,咱們來嘗嘗桂花米糕,如你所見,桂花糕吃起來非常松軟,并且微微清甜,品嘗它就像感受到了芬芳的春天,如此的優(yōu)雅又美味,最受歡迎的就是桂花(味)。
老年人喜歡豆沙、黑洋酥,這都是傳統(tǒng)的口味,現(xiàn)在也增加了紫薯、板栗這些不同的餡料,主材料是來自江蘇的一種香米,用水浸泡6—8小時,水磨粉磨出來很細膩,自然發(fā)酵半個小時以后蒸出來。
